shelf life

2 days ago i sold the last of the slim oak shelves of 1m lenght  (i'm keeping the one on display for myself, thank you very much!).  now there are 2 of the 50cm shelves left (39.-), with which you can still achieve a nice display.

a bit pale

...one of the countless options how to stack the muuto modules.

beautiful, isn't it?

muuto in the house

today i'm going mental and it's all the fault of my camera... all the pictures i take are nearly black (yes, i have taken the shutter off...) and it seems to me that i have pressed all the buttons in all the possible positions...

so friends: instead you get nice pictures of muuto. how about that?

the henceforce (in)famous stacked system and the dot hooks. if any of this inspires you get to me quick because we're soon ready for the next order.

compact

recently i sold the composition of shelves i've used as a display in the shop for a while so to change a little i have now put together a more compact version.

currently looking into...

mmm, that looks rather light and elegant, don't you think?

equally the beauty and proplem with those shelves is that there are zillions of combinations...

manuela's sideboard

this entire week i have been a woman on a mission: deliver tax declaration... uffff, i'm nearly done.

so i'm thankful manuela sent me this picture i can post today :-)

last week manuela came to collect her ordered combination of the stacked system and here you can see the result!

i really like the mix of ash wood and white elements and the way she stacked it. i'm taking notes! detail: if you look more closely you can see that the backboard of the lower element on the left is pink.

have a lovely weekend!

home run

i'm a big fan of the muuto stacked shelf system and its endless possibilities. often copied but never matched.

simply pile the elements on top of each other or, for a more elegant look, stack them on top of a podium as in the last picture below. you could also hang them on a wall. chose between 3 sizes, with or without backboard, white or ash.

to see all the available elements have a look at the brand new muuto catalogue: http://ipaper.ipapercms.dk/Muuto/MuutoCatalogue/

i very much like the idea of using the stacked system as a room divider. for your inspiration 2 examples found on internet (via oliviababycakes and ralphcapper)

i'm the happy owner of 7 elements myself and am planning to add on more bit by bit.

mmmmmm....

endless possiblilities!

one more thing

friends, i thought i was done with blogging until after the holiday but today i saw this genious device on the muuto internet site: http://www.muuto.com/stackedconfigurator/

try it out, it's fun! it makes you aware of the endless options you get with even just a few pieces of the stacked system. and of course it really helps if you want to order.

getting cosy inside

today it's monday, there's very little daylight outside and it's raining: quite horrible in fact! what am i doing here on a monday anyway? but i totally forgot to tell you that until christmas i have extended opening times:

monday 12h-17h
tuesday to friday 12h-19h
saturday 12h-17h
saturday 24th: 10h-16h

so here a pic of the new owl cushion, a screen print of her own design by sybill. several cushions with various designs and colours available.

and... did you see? finally, finally we (read: boyfriend) has put the slim oak shelf on the wall! see better pictures in post entry 11.05.11

more owls (jewellery) tomorrow.

sold today

of course my aim is to sell the products i have in the store, but sometimes parting is hard when it's last pieces or - like in this case - i can reorder the size and colour but don't know what pattern i will get on the vase. these days when i get ceramics i'm almost afraid to open the parcel, mainly because i fear breakage, but with these vases also because i like some patterns much more than others. so bye-bye to the grey one which i particularly liked (of the small green i still have another one).

btw: you can catch a glimpse at the ash stacked in the picture...

stack them

i never buy the wallpaper magazine (too expensive, too much advertising)... anyway i did this month because there are some good pictures of muuto's stacked system in ash. they did it monochromatic in ash, which looks good i think, of course you can also mix with white elements (click on below label "shelving" to see pics with white and/or pine elements).
what else is new: you can chose the element with or without backboard. i also liked that they used the yellow and green clips for added dash but of course the shape created is interesting enough in itself. clips are not strictly necessary but add stability if you chose to make elements overhang.

i put a small combination (similar to pic 3) in the shop window and honestly, whatever you put in it will look good! ceramics, glassware, books... the mix always works.

it now smells of wood in my shop!

shelve it

there is some problem with blogger these days and my last post is gone... for now. anyway. here are the pictures of the oak shelves. they are slim and come in two sizes: 50cm and 100cm. the narrow gouge that runs through the lenght of it means you can easily secure pictures, postcards, drawings etc. i'm definitely getting a big one for home. it will be great in the corridor.

yes...

there are more clever options with the shelf system. as seen here on the picture by muuto you can use single pieces as a little sofa or bedside table (the one shown here is the smallest of the 3 available sizes), or you can build a light room separator to insulate office space etc. and still have the same amount of light.
on this picture you see the wood veneer version of the cubes. all white, all wood veneer or mix&match? it's up to you...

for the past few days...

i have been highly irritated with my new home computer, my first mac, but here finally some pics of the new window display. with this simple yet genious shelf system there are so many options that i didn't know what to do! the good thing is that you can get a fantastic result even with limited space. i want one for home!

get organised

yes, the year is fresh and our resolve to organise everything much better this year yet unbroken! here is a shelf system that can be adapted to any space and needs. get back to me for more information on sizes and prices here: entrez@leboudoir.ch

hot stuff continued

here comes the wall clinging variety of the curiosity cabinet... unfortunately it takes a drill to hang it, but as soon as it hangs in the shop i will post a picture of it.
