boy, it's dark outside

barely 5.30pm and it's already dark outside... well, it's that time of the year again and since we can't help it let's make it cosy inside. and for that we've found nothing better than good old candlelight.

new candlesticks in oak, oiled oak and smoked oak (not shown)and you get to chose between 3 sizes. now you do the maths...

new season ahoy!

september 21, folks... there's no two ways about it: autumn is really here. yesterday when i left work around 8pm it was already pitch dark. but autumn can be glorious in zurich, if only there wasn't the prospect of winter!

pictured above is my second favorite of the new little vases/tealights and i think this little boat guided by a star in a billowing sea catches the mood of the day.

new

as you might have guessed by now i have a soft spot for jewellery, mobiles and of course ceramics. so i'm pleased to show you these new vases and candleholders that have just arrived. all are individually handdecorated with ceramic decalls so each piece is a one off.

a little cry of dismay escaped me when a customer picked the piece with the icebear, i just managed to snatch a picture before it went out the door the same day it arrived... i wish she had chosen another one!

picture below shows one of the larger vases, picture by Kristine Meyer.

double the trouble

believe it or not, these lovely cups are actually "vodka glasses"... only brits could come up with that. well, you can also use it for syrup or as cute vase for little flowers.
new au boudoir, set of four 39.-

sorry, but due to sickness the shop remains closed friday and saturday 13th and 14th of march.

the good life

nothing beats candlelight to snuggle up in style during long december nights and to celebrate the festive season. made in switzerland.

clear idea

pine needles of advent wreaths have a wonderful smell, especially when burning... (how does plexy smell when it melts?) but no argument on safety intended here. a chandelier is a luxury which we deserve in december, be it the one handed down from your granny, a flea market find or this modern take in acryl which looks fantastic on dark wood. which would look even better in coexistence with rough dark wood.
