a farewell to summer

last day of summer 2012...

hmmmmhmmm[...]can't say that's my favorite moment of the year. but then it's like turning (ahem) 40: you think it's the end of the world, but then life just goes on, thank you very much!

and not all the pretty flowers are gone. new in the shop are those chopstick rests (that's what i'm told they're called) with the handpainted flower on porcelain. i mean, how sophisticated can you get? but if you ever get any, make it these very dainty ones.
