my first (of many!) holidays of this year is about to start! but miss b. is here to keep shop doors open. however, please note that tomorrow thursday the shop only opens at 4 o'clock.

shades of grey and red

not the same style but a similar colour combination... saskia & renato chose this beautiful red (RAL 3002)and matched the dark grey (RAL 7024) with their sofa. way more refined than black.

spring!

spring is here and that's the best news we've had for a while. in the spécial mode of a recent ELLE i saw this picture of a woman wearing a long necklace and immediately recognised a piece i have had in the shop, only one and it's gone. so have the short earrings. what is still up for grabs are the long earrings and the bracelet. perfect for a relaxed spring-summer feel.

beautiful colour combinations

as you know i order sideboard/trolleys in colours on customer's demand and every now and then i need to top up an order and buy a piece for the shop. if i take a two-coloured trolley i'm in trouble... i can spend hours pondering on colour combinations. inspiration is everywhere but the endless options make the final decision difficult. this time, just when i couldn't get decided, a new order came in so that's that! until next time... more desirable colour combos to come in a post soon.

ps: last picture by garance d. taken at the fendi show: a truly beautiful mix of shades. and strangely reminiscent of the colour wheel in the middle picture (which is a picture i took of a technical appliance box, so it's mere coincidence!).

red lights - back to paris

folks, i cannot say i'm really sorry, but next tuesday and wednesday march 8/9 the shop will be closed as i'm off to paris. on a mission for you of course!

unfortunately for us, miss b cannot come to replace me in the shop as she's playing in a movie - guess what, the role of prison directress!

sweet and carefree like spring

first of march! make a song and dance, january and february, officially the grumpy months of the year, are behind us... i'm still wearing a warm wool jumper but i can't wait to chuck all the winter gear in bags and box them in the cellar.

every friday, when i leaf through the friday magazine i'm under no illusion: boy oh boy, i'm really getting older! but there is still some common ground and i think this picture "young woman with a necklace" nails feminine and timeless. we want!

in the shop i have had delicate gold necklaces on offer for several seasons now and feel every woman should own at least one. it's just beautiful and a no-brainer: you can team it with almost any top. i'll be back with some suggestions.
